Tesamorelin | Ipamorelin is a peptide combination studied for its potential to stimulate endogenous growth hormone (GH) release through complementary mechanisms. Tesamorelin is a synthetic analog of growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH), designed to activate GHRH receptors in the pituitary gland and promote physiologic GH secretion. Ipamorelin is a selective growth hormone secretagogue that binds to the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R), stimulating GH release via a separate pathway while minimally affecting cortisol or prolactin levels.
More specifically, Tesamorelin increases the amplitude of GH pulses by priming the pituitary, whereas Ipamorelin enhances the frequency of secretion through ghrelin receptor activation.
